在這裏工作的大多為搬運工人，每天在豪拉大橋(Howrah Bridge)上年復一年、日復一日地和沈重的貨物打交道。為了提神醒腦和增強工作效率，他們都愛自娛自樂地高歌歡唱，非常寶萊塢風格。聽入耳中，他們的歌聲雖然激昂，但似喜乍悲。Most people work as porter, carrying the heavy cargo for years on the Howrah Bridge.  As a form of relaxation, they sing and entertain themselves; very much Bollywood style. They sing out loud with mixed emotions.
